Everyone
have an important role in the ecosystem. Humans are key actors towards
sustainability. The stability of the ecosystem becomes a form of environmental
sustainability. However, unfortunately this time becomes human beings that
trigger increases the damage to the ecosystem. This is due to too high levels
of human needs.
The
most important human needs are food and shelter. Both of these major effect on
the environment. Humans need to eat every day, so how else do humans always
improve the quality and quantity of food results. This step is to trigger the
loss of forest habitat due to land conversion. In addition, Earth is the only
place to stay for people. All the necessary requirements for building human and
effort are very abundant. Natural resources become the main supporter in
meeting human needs. So that the land, water, forest, gold, copper, oil
continues to be explored for human welfare. As a result, many homeless animals.
As
the younger generation working in the field of education, then it should I
begin to instill an understanding of the students of the importance of the
earth as a dwelling place for all beings. Students are a small part of the
living creatures that were given education. As a small part of the human, then
the student is given the right targets for the provision of environmental
science. So that in the future, the student is no longer a destroyer of the
earth but can be an important part of that role to the preservation of the
earth.
I
was a young teacher who was only 22 years old. The main task in the school as a
teacher of biology and supervising extracurricular research. I assume that the
teacher acts as a distributor of science agent. Biology teacher is one of the
major his key to the delivery of environmental education issues. Therefore, the
method of teaching that I do not just lecture system, but the practice
directly. So the role of a biology teacher can print the younger generation who
are concerned about environmental sustainability. Earth Safety depends on the
quality of the citizens of the earth as a living creature in it. Therefore,
Natural Earth will be destroyed if the human resources are poor. Therefore, the
importance of environmental education should be the basis and the handle to be
a wise man.
Teacher
(Guru : in Indonesian) and the Java language, the meaning of Guru are "
digugu and ditiru". This suggests that a teacher has a very important role
to be followed and emulated. Thus, the actions of teachers is a key determinant
of future generations of young citizens of the earth.
First
step, Degree of Science Biology introduce to teenagers about the biotic and
abiotic components. The goal is that students know and can distinguish biotic
and abiotic components. In addition, students are also able to manage well
between biotic components that can be updated and abiotic components that are
difficult to update. Make it easier to understand the material, then I as a
young teacher invites students to practice in the school environment. Students
are asked to name the biotic and abiotic components that are in the school
environment.
As
a Science Teacher for granted that I can provide solutions to reduce
environmental damage. Steps are easy, inexpensive and effective way to reduce
the environmental damage of which is to save water, electricity shut off when
not in use, each child to plant and care for 1 tree, no use of motor vehicles,
dispose of waste in place and reduce the use of plastic bags. If my students
every day can apply the example I gave, and in one school there are about 200
students who are taught, it will save electrical energy use about 1000 watts
per day.
Teachers
have an important role as a distributor of knowledge. Human behavior is
determined in the future of education in his youth. Therefore, school children
given a knowledge of science and the application of science to environmental
sustainability. Thus, the younger generations who have awareness of
environmental sustainability can be realized to save the earth.
